This Chrisofix® daytime working splint supports the wrist in the position selected for treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and other listed wrist conditions. Its design combines wrist support with freedom of hand use for everyday tasks, within the limits of the treatment plan.

How it works
The shell is shaped to the hand and wrist, and the straps maintain the prescribed wrist position. The design leaves the hand available for permitted daily activities while providing wrist support. The treating professional determines the position and wearing schedule.
Fitting and use
Fit: position the hand and wrist as instructed, then adapt the pre-shaped shell with gentle pressure. Initial fitting and substantial reshaping should be performed by a healthcare professional.
Fasten: close the straps to hold the wrist securely without excessive tightness or local pressure on the skin.
Check: monitor the fit and skin during use. Keep repeated bending of the shell to the necessary minimum.

Cleaning and reuse
Wash at 30 °C and allow to air dry. Store at room temperature. Reuse means repeated use by the same patient; washability does not mean that the product can be sterilised. Avoid damage, contamination and soaking during wear.

Polyethylene (PE) foam, polyamide (PA) velour, cotton, corrugated and perforated aluminium (EN AW-1050A).
Important limitations
Use on clean, intact skin or after appropriate wound care. Do not overtighten, use a broken or damaged orthosis, or cut the product. It is not suitable for heavy physical work. Combine it with another support on the same limb only if instructed by a doctor. A healthcare professional determines the wearing schedule and treatment.
Night-time rest or daytime activity?
The night-time model REF 33/34 provides wrist support during rest. The daytime working splint REF 53 is designed to support the wrist while allowing greater freedom of hand use. They have different size charts; selection and any combined wearing schedule require professional guidance.

How long should I wear it?
Daytime use is not a fixed number of hours for every patient. Follow professional guidance on wearing time, breaks and permitted activities.
Can I perform heavy physical work while wearing it?
No. The manufacturer’s precautions state that Chrisofix® orthoses are not suitable for heavy physical work. The working-splint design allows selected everyday hand activities; it does not remove the treatment restrictions.
Can the orthosis be washed?
Yes, at 30 °C, followed by air drying. It is intended for repeated use by one patient.
