Application and adjusting<\/strong><\/h5>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The ready to adjust Chrisofix<\/span>\u00ae<\/span> orthoses have to be adjusted directly on the in-<\/span>jured\/diseased body part. The rough adjustment (bending) has to be performed <\/span>on a non-injured limb of similar size. Fine adjustments, readjustments (e.g. after <\/span>soft tissue swelling is reduced) can be made without removing the orthesis.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • \u00a0<\/span>Shape the orthesis on the not injured wrist and forearm.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Set the wrist into the required position.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Put the arm with the dorsal side into the preshaped orthosis. <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Adjust the orthosis with gentle pressure to the wrist and forearm.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Fasten the bandages on the wrist, forearm and between the thumb and <\/span>index finger.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    To remove the orthosis, it is not necessary to open the strap on back of the <\/span>hand; the hand can simply be pulled out from and later shifted back into the <\/span>fixation. Frequent bending and stretching of the orthosis can damage its stability;<\/span>these must be restricted to the necessary minimum.<\/span><\/p>\n
