Especially recommended for pre- and post-operative fixation of extensor pollicis longus (EPL) lesions. The rough adjustment (bending) has to be performed on a non-injured limb of similar size. Fine adjust-ments, readjustments (e.g. after soft tissue swelling is reduced) can be made without removing the orthosis.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Place the forearm into the ready to use orthosis.<\/li>\n<li>Shape the orthosis to the hand with gentle pressure, and close the ring around the thumb.<\/li>\n<li>Fasten the stable bandage on the wrist and the textile one on the forearm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To remove the orthosis, it is not necessary to open the strap on the thumb; the thumb can simply be pulled out from and later shifted back into the fixation.
