Application and adjusting<\/strong><\/h5>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The ready to adjust Chrisofix<\/span>\u00ae<\/span> orthoses have to be adjusted directly on the injured\/diseased body part. The <\/span>rough adjustment (bending) has to be performed on a non-injured limb of similar size. Fine adjustments, <\/span>readjustments (e.g. after soft tissue swelling is reduced) can be made without removing the orthosis.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • The orthosis is delivered in a ready to adjust form with the most frequently applied angle of 90\u00b0.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • If necessary, open the foot parts of the lateral fixation plates, set the required angle, and close them\u00a0<\/span>again (in case of injuries of the Achilles tendon fix the foot in a slightly stretched position of 110\u00b0-120\u00b0). <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Place the leg with the plantar side into the orthosis.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Adjust the orthosis carefully to the leg\/ankle and fasten it with the bandages.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The knee must be reposed slightly crooked with the help of a cushion (first of all in case of Achilles <\/span>tendon injuries).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
