Application and adjusting<\/strong><\/h5>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The ready to adjust Chrisofix<\/span>\u00ae<\/span> orthoses have to be adjusted directly on the injured\/diseased body part.The <\/span>rough adjustment (bending) has to be performed on a non-injured limb of similar size. Fine adjustments, <\/span>readjustments (e.g. after soft tissue swelling is reduced) can be made without removing the orthosis. <\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Place the forearm into the orthosis.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Adjust the orthosis with gentle pressure, and fix the thumb with the Velcro fastener.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Fasten the three straps on the back of hand, at the wrist and on the forearm. To remove <\/span>the orthosis, open the stiffened straps only on one side. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    To remove the orthosis, it is not necessary to open the strap on the thumb and back of the hand; the hand <\/span>can simply be pulled out from and later shifted back into the fixation. Frequent bending and stretching of the <\/span>orthosis can damage its stability; these must be restricted to the necessary minimum.<\/span><\/p>\n
